New modular system stars at FACHPACK
The new ‘MH’ modular strapping machine range was the star of Signode’s stand at the recently held Fachpack exhibition.

And interest in the new range proved extremely high as over 100 visitors to the stand expressed serious interest in the range and requests for demonstrations, site visits and quotations was equally high.

The new ‘MH’ range is a purpose designed modular approach to strapping machine systems, developed by Signode to provide a high quality, reliable end of line packaging solution that combines low cost of ownership with maximum machine availability.

At the heart of the system is the new ‘MH’ modular strapping head. Developed from the hugely successful MHC range, it features a ‘modular’ design which is interchangeable between machines to offer maximum plant efficiency, plus the benefit of reduced parts and servicing requirements.

Designed for use with 9mm to 16mm Signode polypropylene or polyester strap, tension capability of between 80N to 2000N is available, depending on strap specification and application requirements.

Suitable for a wide variety of applications, including horizontal and vertical pallet strapping, vertical carton strapping, appliance packaging, small tile bundling and graphic log stacking, the ‘MH’ modular head is available in a comprehensive range of new Signode strapping machine formats, to suit virtually any end of line packaging application. As an added bonus, MH can also be retrofitted to most existing Signode machines, enabling customers to benefit from the latest strapping technology at lower cost.

Commenting on the exhibition, Gunner Franke of Signode said, “Without doubt the ‘MH’ modular head created a lot of interest at Fachpack. For many visitors, this was their first opportunity to see this new technology head for real and their reactions were extremely positive and very encouraging. The ‘MH’ range is the result of a significant development programme designed to provide customers with the most reliable, productive strapping solution for their business, whilst at the same time, reducing ownership costs and servicing requirements. The early feedback from our customers suggests we have delivered on these objectives.”
