The Scanpack was another opportunity for Signode in Scandinavia to show their capabilities for supplying complete end of line packaging solutions. Signode had on display an end of line packaging system based around the new OCTOPUS 200 rotary ring high-speed pallet stretch-wrapping machine and the MH-VRB pallet strapping machine and the associated materials handling system.

Signode has launched the SIG-CURE Safety System, a new fail safe device for its GCU compression/strapper/palletiser. The system consists of an additional locking mechanism assembly integrated between the press platen and the rack of the GCU press drive, ensuring the compression bar can never drop down inadvertently.

After an absence of some years ITW-Signode returned to the Taropak exhibition showing its full range of automatic solutions for many packaging areas notably Logistics, Corrugated and Container and Construction segments.

Shown for the first time in public at an exhibition the Signode modular MH-TRB pallet strapping machine with head on top attracted a lot of interest. At the Fachpack, which is one of the most important packaging machinery exhibitions in Germany, Signode had a joint stand with its sister ITW Böhl, exhibiting its range of world class long product wrapping machinery and tape/film bundling machine solutions.

The Eurasia packaging fair was held over 11 halls in the Istanbul Exhibition area and covered 90.000 m². There were over 5.000 visitors from outside of Turkey and the total number of visitors grew by 17% compared to the previous exhibition.

The new, heavy duty modular Z-32 strapping head was the star of the show at the recent lumber exhibition in Sweden. The Z-series modular system introduced in Sweden in 2007 using the very successful Z-20 model resulted in over 20 lumber press placements in Sweden and over 35 other Z-20 systems in Scandinavia for 16 and 19 mm Tenax® Polyester strapping.

The Aluminium exhibition in Shanghai wasan excellent opportunity for customers and interested parties to view the extensive range of Signode Industrial packaging systems solution for the aluminium ingot, billet, slab, sheet and wire segments. It was however the first time for Chinese customers to be able to see the complete range of modern products put on display by Signode China in one location.

Recently Signode held an In-House customer exhibition for selected End-users and OEMs at its manufacturing centre in Hilden, Germany. Over 130 Guests took the opportunity over two days to see the full range of Signode products and solutions for the Metals and Non-ferrous sectors.

End of line process packaging specialists, Signode, recorded their busiest show for some time and the main focus of stand visitors was on Signode’s latest developments in both engineered plastic strap and the associated application machines and equipment.
